I became a US citizen.
As friends and family keep congratulating me, one of them asked,
"So, how does it feel?"
That gave me a pause...I would be dishonest if I only shared about
how exciting and unbelievable this all is!
Does that make me ungrateful for this absolute honor and privilege
that has been awarded to me? Relatively effortlessly when so many
others had to wait for it for decades? When it’s been denied to
even more?
I would like to think not. But it's complex.
